Happy Independence Day
Here is a card I actually made for my June bumper card recipient but it works for multiple challenges this time. Jenn's AP Inspiration challenge (a bit late), this week's 'share your spark Fridays challenge over on Heather's blog, and this week's a muse addicts weekly challenge! Wow I'm *never* this efficient or lucky!!! I used a muse red and blueberry kitchen notes, amuse images; lady liberty, sparkler, tiny oval, waves, and birthday builder clear set. I used Mementos ink in dandelion, paris dusk, sand, summer sky and ladybug red. Copics markers to color in Napoli Yellow for the crown and torch, Sand for the base and Mignonette for the Lady. I used a Gold Spica for the sparkle on the crown and torch a Red Spica to go over the 4 and a clear Spica to go over the 'fireworks'! Click on the pic to see the 'sparkle' Have a safe and happy fourth!!!!!!!
Getting Caught Up w/Posts
Sorry it's been so long since my last post I have been super busy and now I'm finally on vacation and trying to get caught up on some things like updating my blog! So happy sumer is in 'full swing' and looking forward to the fourth! Here are some cards I have made and just now getting around to posting.
This is a card I made using the a muse birthday builder clear set and the country triangle punch from Marvy to make the banner. I 'cased' this card which I saw and *loved* on Heather Meeson's blog here. I immediately went and bought this punch the next day because I loved Heather's card so much and used it for my monthly 'craft night' with the girls. I used more masculine colors for a 'manly; card. So much fun!
This card I made for my niece's graduation from high school using our high school's colors. She loved it! I used the grad. cap from a muse, sentiment from Inkadinkado and the numbers are from the a muse birthday builders clear set. Card is a muse orange kitchen notecard and the ink is memento's dew drops. It's hard to see in this pic but I used Spica glitter pens on the tassel to make it 'sparkle'. This card and the one below I 'cased' again from Heather's blog here. That girl is so creative I just love getting ideas from her blog! I also ran out and bought Martha Stewart's circle cutter due to Heather's recommendation. I *love* this cutter, it is super easy to use and takes the frustration out of layering.
This card uses the a muse bride and groom and wedding sentiment, as well as a muse blueberry kitchen notecards. Ink is Memento's dew drops tuxedo black. Hard to see again, but I used clear Stickles on the bride's dress for some added 'sparkle'.

VMAA2 "The Aftermath"
VMAA2 "Happy Days - Bonus"
This challenge was to create something from the inspiration of one word - 'weekend'. I live one street up from the ocean and there is a park that sits above the beach with one tree. My ideal weekend day is to ride my bright orange cruiser bike (complete with wicker basket) to the one shade tree and look down at the ocean while I listen to my ipod and color with various art mediums. Ahhhh....SUMMER!!!
VMAA2 "Disco Ball"
This challenge was to use 'old school' glitter. O.K. I cheated a little because I love Spicas and Stickles so much I threw out ALL my glitter.....no lie I think I wasted 10 mins. of the challenge searching for it!!!!!! I wanted to play along so I sparkled the Dress and suit w/ Spicas (like a groovy 70's couple out for a sparkly night on the town!)......pretend there is old school glitter there!!!

My First Post!!!!
These pictures are of things I made for my a muse secret admirer. The first one is actually an altered notepad and the second is a card. Please bear with my camera work as I'm new to this! All images by a muse artstamps/Elzybells and colored with Copic original markers and Spica glitter pens. Paper used: a muse 4-bar notecards and pretty little papers.
